Therapy
My approach
My style is open-minded, calm, and curious. I believe that your uniqueness is your greatest strength and that we are happiest when we are living authentically and in alignment with our values. Mental health issues, unconscious beliefs, and unresolved emotions keep us stuck in unhelpful patterns. It is my role to create a supportive atmosphere where you can uncover those patterns, discover new ways of coping, work through past trauma, and dig deeper into your identity and values.
To accomplish this, I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). CBT focuses on how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors contribute to our mental and emotional wellbeing. Mindfulness-based therapies focus on emotional coping, living in the present, healthy relationships, and building a life that is in line with your values. I find that using this combination of therapies allows for a balance between easing symptoms and self-discovery.

What to expect
Your first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We will discuss what brought you to therapy as well as your expectations and goals. I will ask you questions that help me gather history and get a clearer idea of who you are. This first session will help us think more deeply about what you hope to achieve and make a plan for future sessions.
In the second session, we will confirm our areas of focus and plan of treatment. Then, we will begin to explore some of your concerns and develop some insight around what’s the matter and what might help. I continually draw upon your strengths to inform our work together, and I see you as an active participant in your treatment. I will check in with you frequently about your progress and make adjustments accordingly.
Investment
Therapy is an investment in yourself, and this takes courage and commitment. Studies show that therapeutic outcomes are directly linked to client investment. Therefore, I ask that you come to therapy open-minded, curious, and invested in your growth. During our sessions, you will learn about yourself and what might help you. You will be asked to apply this knowledge to your life between sessions to help you build lasting change. This process unfolds at your pace and in a way that feels safe.
Fees
50-minute session: $150
I accept most major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards through the patient portal.
Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider with most insurances, and I can provide a receipt for insurance reimbursement monthly. Many insured clients are reimbursed for at least part of their session fee, but it will depend on your individual plan.
Out-of-network benefits don’t have to be complicated, and I can help you navigate them. You can start by using the following document as a guide, and we can discuss the answers together.
